The Doors of Yesterday
To appreciate the door of today and of the future, Marshfield DoorSystems believes we must continue to appreciate our doors of yesterday. Marshfield DoorSystems feels a very serious sense of responsibility for maintaining the traditions and fine craftsmanship which have now flourished for 110 years. To put the last 110 years in perspective, when you specify Marshfield DoorSystems, you are specifying the oldest and most advanced architectural door company in America. Perhaps, best of all, is that comfortable feeling of knowing that we will be here long into the future to stand behind our product. Marshfield DoorSystems has survived five names, two devastating fires and has stood strong as the leader in the architectural door industry for over 110 years. These changes have made us a stronger company, given us the opportunity to adapt to change and surpass our customer's expectations. To understand the road we have traveled to stake our claim to the title of industry leader, we have prepared a brief history tutorial. We hope you enjoy taking a look behind the doors of Marshfield DoorSystems.

  What's in a Name?

Our name may have changed a few times over the past 110 years, but our commitment, values and standards have not. Axel K. Hatteberg started the infant company that is the basis for everything today; the company he founded was Hatteberg Veneer Company. This company went on to become the Roddis Veneer Company, which grew to Roddis Plywood Corporation, became the Weyerhaeuser Door Division and now has become…Marshfield DoorSystems.
