1920 - Hamilton Roddis assumes presidency of company.
Hamilton Roddis assumed the presidency in 1920, after the death of his father W.H. Roddis, and he headed the company until his own death in 1960. Hamilton Roddis was recognized in the plywood and door industry as an individual who had a complete grasp of the industry and by reason of long experience in the industry, had made a substantial contribution by way of improvement in the manufacture and quality of plywood and doors. Hamilton Roddis became the dean of the American plywood industry, largely because of his abilities to adopt modern production and distribution methods that helped him pilot his firm through economic seas that wrecked other companies.
